Colouring Books for Adults: It’s a Thing!

Adult colouring books are a thing and I couldn’t be more excited. I first came across this trend a few months ago and it has grown exponentially since then. In fact, it’s gone so mainstream that Indigo has now created a separate collection of all the adult colouring books they carry and the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto has added Colouring for Adults to their Get School’d Workshop Series.

I took a browse through the colouring book collection at Indigo and couldn’t resist purchasing this one by Millie Marotta and dusting off my colour crayons when I got home. The images are absolutely beautiful, the details intricate, and I can’t wait to make it my own. I’m not great at drawing so, for me, this is effortless creativity and incredibly relaxing. In fact, colouring is billed as the hottest new meditation and relaxation trend aimed at busting anxiety and stress. Give it a try!
